Did you know that almost 85% of poorest from Africa who rely on subsistence agriculture are currently experiencing most serious famine, poverty and lack seeds to cultivate due to COVID-19?
With your help, Lango Association (UK) Charity, will support the poorest and people disproportionately affected who may be Elderly, HIV patients, Single Mothers, People with Disabilities and orphans in Lango community (Uganda) to receive seeds for planting, expand their food basket, be better prepared for future challenges and improve their livelihood.
Good news is, it is starting to rain, and farmers are desperate to plant Beans and Maize in June 2020.
Your Donation of £100 by end of June could buy seeds for planting for 30 households that could help them stave off Hunger and Famine.

COMMUNITY
Annual Community Beach Trip
Community Beach Trips is a family event for community members to come together and participate in fun beach activities e.g. Beach volleyballs, popular beach game called “CORO” (Mweso) among others. It is also an inter generational event where elders engage with the young and impart knowledge in a non formal session. For this event, there is a shared hired bus. Also every household prepares a meal to share which promotes solidarity and community cohesion.
Sponsored Fundraising Events
During a recent London Marathon event, Geoffrey the current Chairman ran the London Marathon to fundraise for charity activities. Thanks to the goodwill from the community, his selfless efforts raised over £3000 to support the charity activities. The charity has been promoting more sponsored charity events as ways of raising money to support the charity. Please look out for future events for upcoming sponsored events and how to participate.
