Lango Association UK (LAUK)
Is a registered charity number 1045456 based in the United Kingdom (UK). Our vision is to alleviate poverty, create development awareness and empower the disadvantaged and vulnerable communities both in the UK and Uganda. We aspire to achieve a “LANGO WITHOUT POVERTY”. LAUK will aim at advancing the health and social, economic and cultural wellbeing of the Lango communities both in United Kingdom and Uganda.
Our Aims and Objectives
The Vision of LA (UK) is to achieve a “LANGO WITHOUT POVERTY.”
Lango Association (UK) has been set up to advance the health and the social, economic and cultural well-being of the Lango people in the United Kingdom and Uganda.
To relieve poverty, sickness and disease within the UK and in Uganda, particularly Lango Sub-region; by providing help for victims of natural or civil disasters, and giving advisory and support services to those in need.
To advance education and training in the history, culture, art and language of Langi people and other subjects in the UK.
To advance public education, in particular for African youth and their parents, by the provision of workshops, seminars, and training courses on subjects including health education, self-help and social enterprise.
To promote health through education, access to medical facilities or the pursuit of healthy recreation through sport.
To provide translation and project evaluation services across communities
